Game performance on the sound installation Parisflâneur

During the final presentation of the Klangräume project at the esc medien kunst labor, I developed and performed a game performance on the Martin Rumori’s interactive sound installation “Parisflâneur”. In the original installation the participant wears traceable headphones and moves around a virtual acoustic space (two dimensional), where he/she can locate different sound sources. I implemented a secondary virtual acoustic space (one dimensional), with the same sound sources, which was played through stereo speakers and in which I could navigate through with a wii controller. My game performance was to locate a sound source in the original virtual acoustic space and then by hearing to locate this sound source again in my one dimensional acoustic space.
